Light, soft and beautifully drapey, Meadow brings together wool, linen and silk in a versatile yarn designed for garments and accessories with a little more movement.

Made from 60% Australian Extra Fine Merino, 20% linen and 20% silk, Meadow combines the softness and bounce of Merino with the character of linen and the subtle lustre of silk.

At 350 metres per 100g, it sits at a lovely sport weight — lighter than a traditional DK but with a little more substance than 4 ply.

Each skein is hand-dyed in small batches in Ballarat.

Why You'll Love It

Care

Care instructions for this base are still being confirmed. Until then, I recommend treating your finished project gently: hand wash in cool water with a suitable wool detergent and dry flat.

A Note About Hand-Dyed Yarn

Every skein is dyed by hand, so colour can vary slightly from skein to skein. If your project requires more than one skein, alternating skeins every few rows will help blend any variations beautifully.

The linen and silk in this base can also give colour a different character than it has on a pure wool base — one of the things I love about dyeing Meadow.
